Lyra Valkyria: WWE Evolution Was Absolutely Incredible, I Hope We Do Another One Very Soon

Lyra Valkyria reflects on WWE Evolution.

At this year’s WWE Evolution event earlier this Summer, Lyra would take on Bayley and Becky Lynch in a triple threat match for the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship. The all women’s event was a success, with fans praising the show and clamouring for more all women’s shows in the future. In that same vein, Valkyria also hopes that WWE do another one very soon.

While speaking to Fightful’s Kate Elizabeth in a new interview at the pre-SummerSlam media junket, Lyra spoke about partaking on this year’s WWE Evolution card.

“It was absolutely incredible. I wish I could take the feeling of camaraderie and support and good vibes that were in the locker room and show that to you. People don’t know, you had to be there. I feel like it’s the best time to be part of the WWE locker room. I’m so grateful for the time that I’ve gotten here. I really wouldn’t change anything. It was amazing and everyone knocked it out of the park. There was so much support for each other as well. I hope we do another one very soon.”

Valkyria would come up short at Evolution, as Lynch was able to retain her title with a quick and creative pinfall. Lyra will get her rematch with Lynch at this week’s SummerSlam show, with the two women set to meet in a No DQ match for the title.
