Major Debut, Title Change On Thursday's TNA Impact

A couple of former WWE talents had rather huge nights on TNA Impact this week.

Former ECW Champion Bobby Lashley hit uncharted territory on Thursday's Impact as he defeated King of the Mountain Champion James Storm to become the new champion. Lashley also currently holds the TNA World Championship and the TNA X-Division Championship. Lashley will defend his TNA World Championship against EC3 at Bound For Glory.

A similar situation took place in 2007 when Kurt Angle held the TNA World, tag team, X-Division and IWGP Third Belt championships all simultaneously. He'd later lose the TNA Tag Team Championships to Team Pacman and the X-Division Championship at No Surrender 2007 before successfully defending the TNA World Title.

Also on Impact was the debut of former WWE Tag Team Champion Damien Sandow, who will now go by the name of Aron Rex. Rex cut a promo mentioning that he was once called too entertaining to compete for world championships. Rex joins the likes of Moose and Mike Bennett as big signings for TNA in 2016.
