With the professional wrestling landscape evolving by the day, Maria Kanellis is excited to see unity in professional wrestling and is hoping to see more done to help the talent in all wrestling organizations

Speaking on Renee Paquette’s Oral Session Podcast, Maria opened up about all of her goals for the future of the wrestling industry including the eventual establishment of a wrestlers union.

"We're talking consistently about unity in wrestling and we've seen so much crossover between different companies and that everybody is friendly and they want to work together. I'd like to see more of that. I'd like to do a show based on that. I don't know how it gets done. I would like a festival that is based on the idea of unity and coming together and just make it a huge party of wrestlers and music and atmosphere and just celebrate wrestling. I'd like to see the Ring of Honor women's division work more with other companies. I was just on a call with Gail [Kim] and Mickie [James] talking about Tag Me In and we were talking about how we could work together more. We're going to consistently try and figure out those ideas or working together more.

She added, "I'm still a crusader for getting a union at some point. People are going to take that like, 'You can't do that.' Unions can have levels and I truly believe that. I truly believe that not every company needs to be a part of it for it to work for everyone. To have that insurance and assurance that we're all being taken care of would be nice. I think it's necessary at some point. It's not across the board. It's just the idea of having those practices in place."

Maria also noted in the interview that she wanted to help produce the WWE women's division, but the idea was shot down. Learn more here.
