Marina Shafir will return to competition.
Josh Barnett announced that Marina Shafir will compete at Bloodsport 7 on October 22.
Shafir is a former MMA fighter who went 1-2 in her professional career and 5-0 in her amateur career. She last competed at Invicta FC 13: Cyborg vs. Van Duin in July 2015.
She was signed by WWE in 2018, but rarely appeared on television. She teamed often teamed with Jessamyn Duke and was associated with Shayna Baslzer as part of the MMA Four Horsewomen. She did appear on WWE Raw Underground in August 2020.
She was released by WWE on June 25.
In addition to Shafir, Josh Barnett also announced that Calvin Tankman will compete at Bloodsport 7. He is 2-1 in Bloodsport competition, last competing at Bloodsport 5 and defeating Nolan Edward by TKO.
Plus, Killer Kelly was announced for the event. She previously competed at Bloodsport 3.
Finally, Minoru Suzuki is set to make his Bloodsport return.
Bloodsport is a hybrid of MMA and pro wrestling where competitors square off in a no-ropes ring.
GCW is set for a doubleheader in October as War Ready will take place one night after Bloodsport. War Ready will be headlined by Minoru Suzuki vs. Nick Gage.
