Mark Henry Says That Oba Femi Makes Him Wish He Could Come Out Of Retirement To Face Him

Mark Henry discusses the idea of coming out of retirement, sharing that he wishes he was healthy enough to face Oba Femi.

Henry’s time as a full time performer would come to an end in 2017, but would return to the ring for a Royal Rumble and Andre the Giant battle royal respectively, but for a full on return for a singles match, only one name tempts Henry these days.

While speaking to Sportskeeda in a recent interview, Mark Henry spoke about if he considered coming out of retirement, noting that he thought about wrestling in 2019 when Nick Aldis was NWA Champion.

“No not at all. I thought about wrestling Nick Aldis when he was NWA Champion in [20]19. But I decided on not doing it. I retired–I retired. I feel like I had done everything there was to do. I got old and the last thing–I was already hurt. I had problems with my back and my legs and I just wanted to get away from being in the ring,”

Henry also would note that if he was healthy and maybe ten years younger, he would want to come out of retirement to face Oba Femi.

“If I was at 100% healthy, maybe 10 years younger, hell I would have loved to come out of retirement and fight Oba Femi. He’s the only one that’s kinda made me feel like ‘Oh man, that would be a challenge.'”
