Máscara Dorada Advances to 2026 CMLL Universal Championship Finals

Máscara Dorada defeated Averno & Flip Gordon to win Phase 1 & advance to the finals of the 2026 CMLL Universal Championship Tournament.

The World Historic Welterweight Champion managed to outlast Averno & Flip Gordon. This came after hitting Averno with a Shooting Star Press to pick up the win.

This becomes the second final Dorada has qualified for in the tournament’s history. He previously won the 2024 edition, outlasting Magnus (Black Tiger IV) & Titan in the finals. He will compete in the finals at the Arena Mexico 70th Anniversary event.
