The finals of the 2025 Copa Jr. VIP Tournament are set.
CMLL hosted a new edition of their weekly show "Viernes Espectacular" from Arena Mexico on May 23, 2025. The event was headlined by the first round of the 2025 edition of the Copa Jr. VIP Tournament.
Zandokan Jr., Máscara Dorada, Místico, Volador Jr., Atlantis Jr., Ángel de Oro & Niebla Roja were all participants of the Torneo Cibernetico, with the teams consisting of Zandokan Jr. & Máscara Dorada teaming with Hermanos Chavez (Ángel de Oro & Niebla Roja) against Volador Jr., Atlantis Jr., Star Jr. & Místico in an elimination tag.
After a dynamic and high-flying affair, Zandokan Jr. & Máscara Dorada, but not without controversy. The finish came when Zandokan Jr. shoved Dorada onto the referee, leading to Zandokan unmasking Místico without the referee noticing before getting the final elimination to advance to the finals. Místico demanded that the finals be a Three-way due to the screwy finish, but Zandokan laid out Místico & Dorada before taking their masks and standing tall to end the broadcast in Arena Mexico.
