Matilda The Hun Passes Away At 73 Years Old

Matilda the Hun has passed away at the age of 73.

According to Bill Apter, he received a call today, January 8, 2022, at 3 a.m. from Roxy Astor, informing him that Matilda the Hun (real name Deanna Booher) had passed away. Though he does not disclose what brought about this sad news, it is stated that Booher had been "quite ill for quite a long time."

Booher broke onto the scene working mud wrestling matches against both women and men. Wanting to prove she was one of the boys, she worked her first professional match against a 700-pound bear. She would then answer an ad that brought her to GLOW, where she would work for four years.

Outside of the ring, Booher lived a fascinating life, among other things, she worked as a photojournalist, claims to have invented phone sex, wrote music for movies, appeared in films such as Spaceballs, and made a cameo in an Aerosmith music video.

On behalf of Fightful, we'd like to send our condolences to the family, friends, and fans of Matilda the Hun.
