Matt Cardona Makes IMPACT Wrestling Debut At IMPACT Hard To Kill

Matt Cardona is always ready and he was ready for his IMPACT Wrestling debut at Hard to Kill.

Ace Austin, who won the Super X-Cup at IMPACT Genesis, was looking to add himself to the X-Division Title Bout at Hard to Kill. Unfortunately for him, Scott D'Amore had other plans for the former X-Division Champion. D'Amore brought out Cardona (former Zack Ryder in WWE), leading to a singles match between Cardona and Austin.

The bout between Cardona and Austin was a short affair as Madman Fulton got involved, causing a disqualification victory for Cardona.

Cardona would lay out Fulton with Radio Silence following the bout.

It was noted by Matt Striker on commentary that Cardona could be in IMPACT for "one night or the future." Fightful Select has more on Cardona's status with IMPACT.

Cardona was released by WWE in April 2020 as part of company-wide cutbacks. He wrestled a couple of matches for AEW following his release, including a bout at AEW All Out.
