Matt Cardona Wins Internet Championship At GCW Fight Club; Chelsea Green Helps Save His GCW Career

Matt Cardona is the Internet Champion yet again.

Cardona's historic reign as Internet Champion ended on September 24 at GCW GetLostALot when he was defeated by EFFY via distraction roll up. On October 9, at GCW Fight Club, he put his GCW Career on the line with the hopes of regaining his title.

Cardona came out and was greeted by a chorus of foul language and middle fingers from the GCW faithful. He and Effy had a hard-fought match that saw both men come close to putting the other away on numerous occasions. Matt, however, took control of the match after hitting Effy, repeatedly, in the head with a chair. Shortly thereafter, though, the referee was knocked out. Effy had one last chance to pin Cardona, and just as the replacement referee was about to count to three, they were pulled out of the ring.

A hooded figure then came into the ring and hit Effy with two low-blows. Cardona hit his finisher and pinned Effy to win the belt and save his GCW career. His accomplice then revealed themselves to be Chelsea Green. She and her finance shared a kiss before leaving the ring.

Chelsea can also be seen tonight on IMPACT Wrestling's Knockouts Knockdown event competing for a Knockouts Championship opportunity.
