Matt Hardy's Broken Brilliance Is Reportedly Coming To WWE After All

For those fans upset that the newly returned Matt Hardy doesn't seem to be utilizing his full Broken Brilliance in the WWE, a new report says that Matt might be in need of a repairman sometime soon.

Because he's gonna get #BROKEN.

Dave Meltzer reported on Wrestling Observer Radio that WWE is in the process of finalizing a deal with IMPACT Wrestling which would allow Matt and Jeff to reprise their Broken Matt and Brother Nero characters.

There has been controversy surrounding the Hardys since their contracts with IMPACT expired at the end of February. The Hardys maintain that they were presented with deals that strayed far from the verbally agreed-upon terms, and when they balked at the new terms, they were told to "go sign with WWE." Which of course, is exactly what they did, but not before a one month stay in Ring of Honor, where they continued to heavily employ the Broken gimmick. IMPACT believed that they were the owners of the gimmick, and decided to try to copyright it by putting a little TM symbol next to every mention of it on their YouTube channel. Of course, that's not how copyright laws work.

Since first returning at WWE, Jeff has been 100% "Team Extreme" in his gestures and mannerisms, but Matt has been vacillating back and forth on the spectrum from "Broken Matt" to "Version 1.0", never more than 70% either way. He's been very coy on Social Media as well, subtly bringing out the broken gimmick where he can.

And on TV, he's playing coy as well. Check out the interview below, where Matt is playing with the levels of his brokenness:

Perhaps a loss to Sheamus & Cesaro at Payback will be the catalyst for him to "Break" again. It's possible, but we can only hope the WWE finalizes its negotiations with IMPACT sometime in the next two weeks.
