Maven reacts to the South Park episode which parodies WWE.
During the 13th season of South Park, their 10th episode 'W.T.F' would parody the world of professional wrestling, mocking the soap opera aspects of the sport, joking that fans watch wrestling for these parts rather than the in ring action.
In a new video on his YouTube channel, Maven covered the episode of South Park, pointing out some flaws in the parody. During the video, Maven would joke that South Park Cena has a better clothesline than the real life Cena.
"South Park Cena throws a better clothesline than the damn real Cena."
At the end of the video, Maven gave his thoughts on the running gag of the episode, noting that the damage to his body wasn't caused by a promo or an interview.
"I don't disagree with their premise as much as I disagree with how they got there. Yes, wrestling is theatrical, yes it is a male soap opera, yes it is entertainment. But that entertainment comes at a cost. That entertainment comes at bodies being broken. I am sitting here right now and my back is on fire, and it's not on fire because of a promo I ever cut or it's not on fire for any interview I ever did. That's the only thing that I wish South Park would have talked about. But they did do a good job of showing just how people can get wrapped up in the actual theatrics. So for that, I commend them."
