Over the course of the past several months, Maya has broken out in the AEW Women’s Division, making it to the finals of this year’s Owen Hart Cup where she came up short against Mercedes Mone.
While speaking to WDBJ7 in a new interview, Maya World was asked what it takes to make it in the world of professional wrestling, with Maya noting that she believes you have to have passion for the business, while also noting her belief that AEW is the biggest wrestling company in the world.
“I mean, I guess you can only put into words it’s like for the love of the game. Like wrestling is something that like you really have to have a passion for and mostly everyone in wrestling does have that passion. So like it’s just something where of course you watch it when you get older. It’s like a dream of mine and now I’m able to like do it for a living, do it for one of the biggest or the biggest to me, wrestling company in the world with AEW, and it’s just, it’s just a dream.”
