Mercedes Mone Explains How She Incorporated Her Wrestling Character In Koska Reeves

Since 2020, Mercedes Mone (Mercedes Vernado) has portrayed Koska Reeves in The Mandalorian.

Reeves is one of the two Mandalorian warriors working for Bo-Katan Kryze (Katee Sackhoff). Koska is a member of the Nite Owls, a band of female Mandalorian warriors led by Bo-Katan, who then become part of the Mandalore resistance.

Appearing at Megacon alongside Sackhoff, Mone was asked about portraying a strong female character.

"I really took a lot of myself and turned it up. I took a lot of my wrestling character, being a boss and a badass, and didn't take no for an answer and that could stand up to any man that wanted to step in her way and take him down and throw a tornado DDT. I wanted her to be who I am, just a badass and going in there with Katee, I had to step up my game because she is a legit badass," said Mone.

In the season one finale, Mercedes hit a tornado DDT. You can find her comments regarding the spot by clicking here.

Elsewhere during the panel, Mercedes commented on the differences between WWE and Japan. You can find her full comments by clicking here.
