Mercedes Mone Says She’s Ready To Dethrone Athena To Settle Their Score, 'Don't Make Me Go To ROH'

Mercedes Mone will go to Ring of Honor; do not tempt her with the opportunity to earn more gold.

Mercedes Mone and Athena are history makers. Mercedes holds four championship belts concurrently after capturing the Owen Hart Foundation Memorial Cup Tournament championship belt as a trophy, signifying her victory over Jamie Hayter at AEW Double or Nothing 2025. On the other hand, Athena is just days away from holding the Ring of Honor Women's World Championship for 900 consecutive days.

Mercedes Mone would love to make more history by being the one to dethrone Athena after defeating her part of the Owen Hart Tournament.

During the post-show scrum following AEW Double or Nothing 2025, Mone told Fightful's Kimmy Sokol, AKA Chris Jericho's biggest fan, that she would have no problem going to ROH. While she respects Athena as one of the best in the world, she knows where to find her if she wants more gold.

"Don’t make me go to Ring of Honor. I’m not afraid of going to Ring of Honor, Athena. Athena, legit, is one of the best women I’ve ever been in the ring with. If she has a problem with me, I know where to find her."
