Michael Cole Says Giovanni Vinci Will Be Out 'A Number Of Weeks' After Injury On 1/1 WWE Raw

An update on Giovanni Vinci.

Michael Cole announced that Vinci would be out "a number of weeks" after he suffered an injury on the January 1 episode of WWE Raw.

Vinci teamed with Ludwig Kaiser on the 1/8 WWE Raw to take on Kofi Kingston & Jey Uso. Unfortunately, the match came to a halt after a dropkick by Kingston caught Vinci directly on the chin as Vinci was attempting a springboard. The back of Vinci's head caught the back of the mat on the way down. A WWE official checked Vinci and stopped the bout from continuing, awarding the victory to Uso & Kingston.

Vinci tweeted after the match that he was okay.

It is unknown when Vinci will return to the ring.

Kaiser got a measure of recent on the January 8 episode of WWE Raw, decimating Kofi Kingston.
