Mick Foley: If Sami Zayn's Match With Roman Reigns Is A One-Off, Fans Might Take It Out On Cody

Mick Foley comments on the ongoing Sami Zayn/Bloodline storyline.

Currently, Sami Zayn is arguably the hottest man of all of professional wrestling. Zayn recently turned on The Bloodline at the Royal Rumble premium live event, which was a moment that many fans had anticipated after The Bloodline's treatment of both Zayn and Kevin Owens in recent months.

Many current and past talent have commented on the storyline, as it is one of the biggest stories that the company has told in recent years. On the latest edition of Foley Is Pod, Mick Foley chimed in and gave his thoughts on the many ways the story could end up going.

"I would think so, man," said Foley when asked if the reaction Zayn will receive at WWE Elimination will be one of the loudest in WWE history. "This is where the storytelling -- the storytelling has been so strong. WWE has to be really careful in how they treat what they have in Sami Zayn. So if it's a one-off, I think fans will be upset and subconsciously take that out on Cody. So I think it's really important that Sami be treated reverently by the people in charge. Because, you know, we call him 'The gift that keeps on giving.' We want him to just keep on giving. You don't want this title shot to be the peak of his storyline and then soon forgotten."

Earlier this year, Foley commented on Vince McMahon's return to WWE. Click here to learn more.

In a interview earlier this year, Zayn said that fans would buy him defeating Reigns at WrestleMania if the story was done right. To learn more, click here.
