Mick Foley comments on Cody Rhodes' current feud with Brock Lesnar and the eventual road back to the WWE Championship picture.
Cody Rhodes came back to WWE in 2022 with one idea, finish the story and become WWE Champion. Ultimately, Rhodes failed in his mission to defeat Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 39 and is currently engaged in a rivalry with Brock Lesnar that has preoccupied his time and taken him away from the WWE World Championships.
Mick Foley, on the latest episode of his Foley is Pod podcast, commented on why it's better for Rhodes to be feeding with Brock Lesnar right now as opposed to chasing after Roman Reigns or Seth Rollins and their respective WWE World Championships.
"I think it's important that the title not go to Cody because I think what Cody is going through in this series Brock Lesnar is giving him the credential, so that when he does -- and I think there will definitely be a moment where he becomes that guy, everyone will feel like he deserved it," said the WWE Hall of Famer.
Elsewhere in this podcast, Foley explains why he believes Seth Rollins was being taken for granted shortly before being given the World Heavyweight Championship. Read more here.
As for Cody Rhodes, he recently stated that the mission hasn't changed. Read more here.
