Million Dollar Championship Returns, Ladder Match Set For NXT TakeOver: In Your House

The Million Dollar Championship is back.

On Tuesday's NXT, Ted DiBiase announced that the bout between Cameron Grimes and LA Knight at NXT TakeOver: In Your House will now be a ladder match. Waiting for the victor at the top of the ladder will be the Million Dollar Championship.

DiBiase officially brought back the Million Dollar Championship during his Priceless announcement. The belt was brought into the ring by armed guards in a secure briefcase.

Andrew Zarian of Mat Men Pro Wrestling Podcast first reported the news of the Million Dollar Title returning in May.

DiBiase first introduced the Million Dollar Title in 1989 and it lasted until 1992. DiBiase brought back the title in 1995, awarding it to "The Ringmaster" Steve Austin. It was then brought back in 2010 with DiBiase giving it to his son Ted DiBiase Jr. It was last seen on the Old School Edition of Raw in November 2010.
