Andrew Zarian of Mat Men Pro Wrestling Podcast first reported the news of the Million Dollar Title returning in May.

DiBiase first introduced the Million Dollar Title in 1989 and it lasted until 1992. DiBiase brought back the title in 1995, awarding it to "The Ringmaster" Steve Austin. It was then brought back in 2010 with DiBiase giving it to his son Ted DiBiase Jr. It was last seen on the Old School Edition of Raw in November 2010.
