The Most Wanted Man & The King of Silver & Gold share a moment.
CMLL hosted a special show celebrating the 66th Anniversary of Arena Mexico in Mexico City, Distrito Federal, Mexico. The show was headlined by Místico facing Bandido in the main event of the show.
After a dynamic match between the two, Místico hit a slingshot Hurricanrana on Bandido before connecting La Mística for the submission win over the current ROH World Champion.
After the match, Bandido thanked Místico for the match, for being an inspiration to him throughout his career, and for helping him fulfill his dream of facing The King of Silver & Gold inside Arena Mexico. He stated the following:
"Like last week, you recognized me as the winner, and tonight I recognize that you have beaten me in the middle of the ring, so congratulations. And more of today's result, I want to thank you because today you have made the dream come true of a boy who saw you on television, of a boy who was inspired by you to be a professional fighter, who fulfilled a dream that took me 15 years to get to the Arena Mexico and face against Místico. Today my hand fell, but not my spirit. My spirit asks for more wrestling, and I know that you are the idol of this crowd, just like mine, but more than that, some people follow the Most Wanted. To your fans and mine, I just want to tell you from the bottom of my heart, never give up, fight for your dreams because sooner or later, life gives them to you. Thank you, Místico!”
After that, the two embraced, with Místico then telling him he was enjoying the fruits of his work over the years and was thankful to Bandido for giving him the match, and thanked the fans for coming to the show. Bandido carried Místico over his shoulders before Místico did the same for him in a wholesome moment between the two opponents.
Bandido will defend the ROH World Title against Konosuke Takeshita on the 7/11 edition of ROH Supercard of Honor, while Místico has been active consistently in CMLL.
