The Miz Goes Full Heel on ESPN's SportsNation

The Miz appeared on ESPN SportsNation on Wednesday and things got a little uncomfortable between him and newcomer Katie Nolan.

Miz started the show by calling Nolan, “sweetheart,” a comment some viewed as misogynistic.

It did not get any better from there as the two got into what appeared to be a heated exchanged prior to the break.

Michelle Beadle tried her best to get the show back on track, but after the break, Nolan was nowhere to be seen while Miz remained. However, according to ESPN, Nolan’s disappearance had less to do with The Miz making funny voices and more to do with her having to appear on another ESPN show, Jalen and Jacoby.

While the segment angered viewers who thought the current WWE Intercontinental champion was being unprofessional and disparaging towards Nolan, it looks like those fans got worked.

The shrug emojis either say, “So, it was a bit that I didn’t get?” or “It was a bit, sorry you didn’t get it.”

Miz playing up his heel persona on the show would not be out of the ordinary for WWE’s must-see superstar and Beadle is an avid wrestling fan who probably understood what was going on. As you can see in the first video, Beadle laughs when Miz calls Nolan “sweetheart” and says, “That’s WWE. He just dropped a promo on you.”

It’s just unclear as to how much Nolan was in on things.
