The Miz Is Proud Of The Part He Played In Building Bobby Lashley vs. Drew McIntyre

Despite his short reign, Miz couldn't be more proud of the role he played in getting the belt on Lashley.

"Bobby Lashley is a very hard worker and dedicated to the craft. He's never held the WWE Title. Everyone has always known he was going to get it. He went away from WWE, came back, and set the world on fire. When I lost the WWE Title, even though we were two bad guys, people were celebrating his reign as WWE Champion for the first time. Going backstage, everyone was applauding and literally saying, 'Congratulations. You deserve it.' To me, I was proud. We did that in eight days. We built this program. People were like, 'Oh, you only had it for eight days.' Yeah, anytime you have the WWE Title, you are the WWE Champion and you'll always have that. As long as you do what is necessary for the company and WWE to succeed to build another superstar, which we did, we built Bobby Lashley into this huge monster and now he has a huge match against Drew McIntyre. I was able to be part of that story to build these characters to where they're going to main event WrestleMania. I'm proud of the work I've done," Miz said on The Fighter and The Kid.

Lashley is set to defend the WWE Title against Drew McIntyre at night one of WrestleMania 37.

Miz will also be competing at night one of WrestleMania 37, teaming with John Morrison to battle Damian Priest and rapper Bad Bunny.
