Before he was a WWE mainstay, The Miz was a reality star on The Real World and The Challenge. Even during those days, his passion for WWE was evident as he often cut promos on the shows.
As fate would have it, before Miz made it to WWE, he received the best advice from Billy Kidman while the two were hanging out at the Playboy Mansion.
"I was on The Real World and I met him at the Playboy Mansion because Torrie Wilson's cover was coming out," recalled Miz on Booker T's Hall of Fame podcast. "I saw Billy and I ask him, 'what's your best advice?' and he goes, 'Honestly, I could tell you all these different things, but stick with it.' The reason it was the best advice is, it sounds so simple, but so many people find different excuses on why they never made it; family, friends, you have to sacrifice everything to get there and you have to find all the tools and pieces you need to get there and you have to figure out a way to get there. 'Stick with it' was very small, but it meant the most to me at that time."
The Miz has "stuck with it" in a big way, turning his WWE success into Hollywood success as he stars in his own reality show along with his wife Maryse and hosts a competition game show on USA Network. On top of his ventures outside of WWE, Miz remains a staple on WWE SmackDown.
