Everyone wants to see Daniel Bryan return to the ring.
The Miz is no different. Speaking to Sports Illustrated, he made it clear that he wanted Daniel Bryan back in the ring.
I would love to beat him up. I would love to beat him up in a WWE ring; all day; every day. I know he’s working tremendously hard to get back in the WWE ring…I would love to have a match with Daniel Bryan; he’s one of the best in-ring technicians that WWE has ever seen, and I would like to showcase how much better I am than him.
Since retiring in 2016, Daniel Bryan has been wanting to return to the ring, and has made it abundantly clear that he will let his contract run out with WWE if they won't clear him. He mentioned in a recent interview, also with Sports Illustrated, that he would like to be cleared in the WWE and wrestle with the likes of AJ Styles.
The Miz and Daniel Bryan have also been teasing a feud for a while now. In the video above, you'll see The Miz cut a passionate promo when Daniel Bryan criticized him on the way that he wrestles. Storyline wise, this dates back to Daniel Bryan's debut, where he was the rookie under The Miz's tutelage in the first season of NXT.
