Cody Rhodes, in spite of a new neck tattoo, Arn Anderson, Brandi Rhodes, and a live entrance by Downstait, was unable to successfully defeat Maxwell Jacob Friedman at AEW Revolution.
In a match that saw a ton of emotion on behalf of Cody Rhodes, crocodile tears from MJF, Arn Anderson take a bump, and a severe amount of blood, Maxwell Jacob Friedman utilized the dynamite diamond ring in order to beat his former mentor and send him into a state of dishevelment.
Cody had the match won following two CrossRhodes in succession, but his refusal to put away Maxwell in spite of his wife urging him on what ultimately lead give his downfall. MJF, In spite of being a bloody mess, would walk away victorious.
