MJF & Jeff Jarrett’s Feud Was Originally Pitched To Last Until AEW All In Texas
A Fightful Select exclusive.
In January 2025, All Elite Wrestling kicked off a program between Jeff Jarrett and MJF. The program ended rather quickly, and details about that were provided via Fightful Select.
It was noted that the original pitch was for Jarrett and MJF’s feud to last until All In Texas.
On Select Answers Today: We were asked about the original plans for the MJF vs. Jeff Jarrett feud.
We’re told the storyline changed rapidly after criticism, with different long-term plans initially in place that would have lasted until AEW All In Texas.

Jarrett is still active in the ring, but has not wrestled for AEW since January 2025, when he was in a storyline with MJF. Jarrett’s comments about the program can be read here.
MJF’s second reign as AEW World Champion came to an end at the Spring BreakThru edition of Dynamite. He was defeated by Darby Allin in just over two minutes.
