MJF On AEW Extension Rumors: I Know The Truth, I Most Certainly Haven’t Signed An Extension

MJF is shutting down a popular rumor.

When MJF returned to AEW after a four month absence at the All Out pay-per-view, fans were skeptical on if his entire absence from the company was real or scripted. In the weeks after his return, MJF revealed that he was paid an absurd amount of money to return to the company, but most importantly, he didn't have to sign an extension.

In a new interview with the New York Post, MJF once again denied that he has signed an extension with AEW, saying that wrestling fans are making up the rumor to make themselves feel better.

"I know the truth. I most certainly haven’t. I think that wrestling fans are kind of just doing that to kid themselves. So maybe they feel a little less heartbroken as things are going on. What happens after the fact [in 2024] is entirely up to AEW management if they are willing to shell out the proper amount of money. Now I’ll tell you this, bonus and brownie points from Tony Khan for paying me what he’s paying me now with no extension. He did not have to do that.”

MJF also mentioned that Hollywood could become a third entrant into the bidding war of 2024, as he was recently cast in the Von Erich movie 'The Iron Claw'.

Elsewhere in the interview, MJF said that he's on his megastar sh*t. To learn more, click here.
