MJF Wins Dynamite Diamond Ring For Third Straight Year On 12/15 AEW Dynamite: Winter Is Coming

MJF gets to keep the Dynamite Diamond Ring around his finger for another year.

Last week, MJF and Dante Martin were the final two competitors in the Dynamite Dozen Battle Royal, locking them in for a showdown on tonight’s Winter Is Coming edition of AEW with the ring on the line. MJF appeared outnumbered after he eliminated his longtime bodyguard Wardlow, but Dante Martin turning on Team Taz ensured The Pinnacle member would have a chance to win the prize for the third straight year.

Prior to the bell ringing, MJF came out and insulted CM Punk, saying he's had a string of underwhelming matches against underwhelming opponents before calling him the new Ryback.

Dante Martin controlled the majority of the match, but MJF was lent a helping hand when Ricky Starks came to ringside and placed MJF's foot on the rope to break up a pinning attempt. This distraction allowed MJF to apply his Salt of the Earth submission to win the match and ring. He has now won the event three years in a row.

After the match, FTR came out to celebrate with MJF but they were attacked by Sting and Darby Allin. When the numbers caught up to them, CM Punk came to their aid. It was then announced that MJF and FTR will face Punk, Sting, and Darby next Wednesday on the Christmas edition of AEW Dynamite.
