MLW 2020 Opera Cup Winner Crowned

Tom Lawlor is the MLW 2020 Opera Cup victor.

Lawlor defeated Low Ki in the finals of the tournament to capture the trophy. After a nearly 25-minute affair, Lawlor scored the pinfall when he fell on top of Low Ki after being hit with a Koppu kick near the corner. Lawlor had just take a shotgun dropkick into the corner and looked out of his feet when falling on top of Ki, but the dead weight was enough to secure the victory.

Low Ki started the mind games early with Lawlor, bringing Team Filthy adversaries Ross and Marshall Von Erich to accompany him to the ring.

This marks Lawlor's first Opera Cup tournament victory.

In the first round, Lawlor defeated Rocky Romero while Low Ki knocked off 2019 Opera Cup victor Davey Boy Smith Jr. The semi-finals saw Lawlor defeat ACH while Low Ki defeated Richard Holliday.
