Moose Believes Booker T Isn't The Only Person From WWE That Would Like To See Him Face Roman Reigns

Moose can't completely rule out the possibility of one day facing The Head of the Table.

Last Saturday, January 8, Moose defeated Matt Cardona and W. Morrissey at IMPACT Hard To Kill, successfully retaining his IMPACT World Championship. The following day, the self-proclaimed Wrestling God took to Twitter and pondered a potential match between himself and WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns.

IMPACT has been a hotspot for inter-promotional activity, with the brand opening the "forbidden door" for talents from AEW, NJPW, and ROH, among others. WWE has typically kept to themselves in this regard, but that changed last week when they announced that Knockouts Champion Mickie James would be taking part in the Royal Rumble.

Speaking with the Alliance Pro Wrestling Network, Moose commented on his Tweet and said that he and Roman are two of the greatest wrestlers of their generation and believes that they would bring out the best in each other.

"Since I posted that tweet, I haven't looked to see who responded or who said anything about it. Five years ago, I would have said there is no way in hell that it would happen. These last two years, we've seen a lot of things that we never thought we would see. We saw an inter-promotional match with AEW and IMPACT and me wrestle Kenny Omega, Omega wrestle Rich Swann. Now you see guys from New Japan coming to IMPACT and IMPACT talent going to the Royal Rumble. Who knows where wrestling is going to or what's going on," Moose stated. "When I posted the tweet, is it going to happen? I can't honestly say 'no' because we don't know what's going to happen. Is it a match I would love to have? Yes, why wouldn't I? He's one of the greatest wrestlers of this generation and I believe I'm one of the greatest wrestlers of this generation. It's a match that would bring the best out of each other and the fans would win. Why not?"

One person who responded positively to the idea was Booker T, who, on his Hall of Fame podcast, noted that Moose checks off all the boxes of what you look for in a talent and believes that he should be given the opportunity to face Roman.

Sharing his reaction to Booker's comments, Moose said that if he wants to see it, there's a good chance that other people from WWE feel the same way.

"If it's a match that he wants to see, I'm sure he's not the only one over there that would like to see it. I'm sure there's more great guys there who would like to see the same thing. It would be a great matchup and something different. We both have different styles. I'm down to have it, but I don't make the decision. Only time and the continued evolution of wrestling will tell if that's going to happen," Moose said.

Next up for Roman Reigns is a Universal Championship match against his former Shield brother, Seth Rollins. You can learn about how that match came to be by clicking here.

Moose can be seen every Thursday on IMPACT Wrestling. Fightful provides lives coverage of the show each week beginning at 8 p.m. ET.
