Moose captured the TNA World Heavyweight Title at TNA Hard to Kill, defeating Alex Shelley in the main event.
The finish saw Moose fight off the Shellshock and then hit the Spear (No Jackhammer needed)

This marks Moose's second reign as TNA World Champion. Shelley held the title for 218 days, winning the title at IMPACT Against All Odds from Steve Maclin. He made eight successful title defenses.
Moose earned his shot by opening the briefcase containing a title shot from the Feast or Fired match.
