Vince McMahon is so jolly about firing people around the holidays.
Vince McMahon has been back on television since WWE Survivor Series 2021 when he presented Cleopatra's Egg from The Rock’s movie, Red Notice. In the subsequent weeks since then, Vince McMahon has taken Austin Theory under his wing.
Teaching Austin about the art of surprise in addition to developing his struggles with irritable bowel syndrome and an earache, Vince McMahon has regularly been having meetings with Austin Theory on Monday Night Raw.
On Monday, December 20, Austin Theory lost a match to Finn Balor. Even though Austin would get his revenge by beating up Finn Balor backstage, Vince McMahon still struggled to forgive his protege for losing tonight.
In fact, Vince McMahon questioned whether he should fire Austin Theory for losing. Vince would say that he likes firing people. He especially likes it during the holidays, saying that it gives him a warm feeling in his stomach.
Instead, Vince McMahon chose to give Austin Theory a second chance and Austin will face Finn Balor again on the December 27th episode of WWE Raw.

This year, WWE has fired a handful of names with several being recent NXT call-ups just like Austin Theory. In November 2021 alone, WWE released Keith Lee, Karrion Kross, Tegan Nox, and all four members of hit row among others. Learn more here.
