Multiple Trademarks Filed On The Name Of A Classic Wrestling TV Series

Multiple individuals have filed a trademark related to a classic National Wrestling Alliance TV series.

According to the USPTO, three entities have been filed related to the term “Wrestling at the Chase.” Steven Church, representing Cosmos Entertainment Productions, Robert Koplar, representing Koplar Communications, and Kevin Depew, representing Silverback Video.

Wrestling at the Chase was on the air from 1959 to 1983 and it featured matches that were held inside the Chase Park Plaza Hotel in St Louis, Missouri. Recently, the series was a subject of a documentary from 9 PBS called Head Over Heels: Remembering Wrestling at the Chase.

Most recently, the National Wrestling Alliance returned to the Chase Park Plaza Hotel in the summer of 2021 for the NWA’s 73rd-anniversary event as well as EmPowerrr, the first-ever all-women card held by the promotion.
