Mustafa Ali Says People In Other Organizations Were Texting Him About TNA iMPACT Match With Jason Hotch

Mustafa Ali is proud of his recent match with Jason Hotch.

On the July 30 episode of TNA iMPACT, Hotch was able to pull off the biggest upset in his career, as he defeated Ali for the TNA International Championship. The match was widely praised by fans, with some even considering it to be the best match of Hotch’s career.

In a new interview with Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp, Ali said that he’s very fulfilled with how the match went.

“The big fear going into it is that we kind of went under the assumption that the crowd knows that I’m going to win. It didn’t feel like that though. I feel like the viewers did. In the arena, I felt the rumble. It’s one thing that if they know, but they wanted Hotch to win. In my mind I was like, ‘Oh man, we got something here.’ Just from the bell, you know? So, it was a very unique and very special match. Hell of a fall through that table, do not recommend it. Probably won’t try that one again. Hotch got pretty banged up, I got pretty banged up but we are able to gut it out. It kind of blows me away that this happened a week or so ago and people are still talking about it. Matt Hardy had some very kind things to say on his podcast. What really blew me away is that people outside of TNA, from other organizations were texting me about it saying that it was something special. So, as heavy as my heart is that I’ve lost my beloved International Championship, but I’m also very fulfilled with how that match went.”
