MVP Says The Hurt Syndicate Wanted To Drop AEW World Tag Team Titles Back To Private Party

MVP says The Hurt Syndicate wanted to drop the AEW World Tag Team Titles back to Private Party.

On the January 25, 2025 edition of AEW Dynamite, The Hurt Syndicate (Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin) defeated Private Party (Isiah Kassidy and Marq Quen) for the AEW World Tag Team Championship. They eventually lost their title to Brodido (Bandido and Brody King) at AEW Forbidden Door 2025. It was a three-way tag match which also included FTR (Cash Wheeler and Dax Harwood).

On social media, MVP said that The Hurt Syndicate wanted to drop the titles back to Private Party.

“So I open up Twitter to see lies being reported about The Hurt Syndicate.

BLATANT LIES!!!

Who is the source of these lies?

To the contrary, we wanted to work with younger talent! We wanted to drop the tag titles BACK to Private Party!!!

STOP BELIEVING THE BS”

The Hurt Syndicate last wrestled on AEW programming during the All In pay-per-view.
