Zack Sabre Jr. Would Never Claim To Be Leader Of TMDK, Says It Belongs To Australian Wrestling

It is more fulfilling for Zack Sabre Jr. to see people within the group thriving as opposed to being the leader.

The T.M.D.K. (The Mighty Don’t Kneel) faction has different branches within the pro wrestling space. It originates in Australia. It started with Shane Haste and Mikey Nicholls, who are scheduled to reunite in Pro Wrestling NOAH on 10/25.

The New Japan Pro-Wrestling branch consists of Zack Sabre Jr., Robbie Eagles, Kosei Fujita, Ryohei Oiwa, Bad Dude Tito, and Hartley Jackson.

Sabre Jr. was interviewed for CMLL’s Esto es Lucha Podcast and stated that he would never claim to be the leader of the group.

“Shane Haste very smartly came up with ‘The Frontman’ because there is no leader. Mikey Nicholls and Shane Haste started T.M.D.K. in 2006, 2007, when the Australian independent wrestling scene was really sort of still trying to create something. I would never claim to be the leader of T.M.D.K., because it would never be mine. T.M.D.K. belongs to Australian wrestling, and as much now, I think with (Ryohei) Oiwa and (Kosei) Fujita, I think something that two Australian wrestlers, Mike and Shane, two people that I spent a lot of time with in the NOAH Dojo and really worked their asses off to make something from nothing in Australia to get to where they got to and now, when I see Fujita and Oiwa with the T.M.D.K. colors and T.M.D.K. flags, winning the biggest tournaments in Japan, that’s much more fulfilling for me rather than claiming to be a leader.”

WWE’s Bronson Reed is a member of T.M.D.K. as well.
