MVP Trains With Carmelo Hayes En Route To Getting Cleared To Compete, Says He Is Progressing Well

MVP hits the ropes with Carmelo Hayes as he looks to get cleared for in-ring action.

Now, Montel Vontavious Porter is looking to get back in the ring and he is trying to get cleared while working out at the WWE Performance Center. During his time in the performance center, he has found himself in the ring training with current NXT North American Champion Carmelo Hayes.

In his most recent update, MVP revealed that his knee is feeling good but he still has a long way to go.

“The knee is feeling better. Progressing well. Gas tank is better than I expected. I have about 10 or 15 pounds to lose, 5 to 7 lbs of muscle to build, but that will come over the next few weeks. Oh yeah, I had a pretty good workout partner today too. Arrogant little bastard!

As MVP looks to get back in the squared circle, NXT’s “A-Champion” continues to show hints as to why he is the future of WWE.

Next for MVP and his main man, Bobby Lashley, the Elimination Chamber event in Saudi Arabia. Next for Carmelo Hayes, a championship defense against Cameron Grimes at NXT Vengeance Day I know you want to. You can check out the full card for Vengeance Day at this link.
