Nevada Issues Indoor Mask Mandates In 12 Counties Including The Home Of WWE SummerSlam

Indoor mask mandates hit the home of SummerSlam 2021.

For the first time ever, Nevada is the home of WWE SummerSlam and as the biggest party of the summer draws near, Nevada is issuing indoor mask mandates for 12 counties including Clark County which houses Allegiant Stadium, the home of this year's SummerSlam.

The Reno Gazette-Journal notes that Carson, Churchill, Clark, Douglas, Elko, Esmeralda, Lincoln, Lyon, Mineral, Nye, Washoe, and White Pine are the counties impacted by these mandates.

According to the Vegas section of Eater.com, A new report released on Monday, July 26, shows 1,124 new cases and 17 deaths all located in Clark County, the home of this year's SummerSlam. Nevada’s mask mandate becomes official at 12:01 a.m. on Friday, July 30.

Back on Thursday, July 22, it became required that employees at businesses in Clark County wear a mask when working indoors whether they are vaccinated or not to try and prevent a fourth wave of COVID-19 infections.

The state dropped a previous mask mandate in May and at the time suggested that only vaccinated people could remove their masks. Now, this latest mandate follows an emergency directive issued in May that requires people to wear masks “in a manner consistent with current guidance issued by the CDC.”

Currently, WWE SummerSlam is still scheduled to take place on Saturday, August 21 from Allegiant stadium in Las Vegas Nevada, part of WWE's return to touring and the major stop on the Summer of Cena.
