Tonight on 205 Live, there was a Fatal 5 Way Elimination Match to determine a new #1 Contender for Neville's WWE Cruiserweight Championship. It featured Cedric Alexander, Gran Metalik, Tony Nese, former Cruiserweight Champ Brian Kendrick and Enzo Amore.
And it. Was. A. BARNBURNER.
Seriously, if you haven't seen it, and you have the network, go watch it.
It got a "This is awesome" and a "Holy Shit" chant. It got a "205" chant, the first instance of that chant I can ever remember.
Enzo took a powder for most of the match, then actually held his own in a sequence against Nese and Kendrick, until this happened.
Enzo lay there behind the announce desk for the rest of the match, as this happened:
... and this happened ...
and then Cedric Alexander eliminated first Nese, then Metalik, then Kendrick, all with his trademark Lumbar Check.
And immediately after getting the pinfall on Kendrick, Cedric got rolled up by a suddenly-conscious-again Enzo Amore, who was yanking on Cedric's tights like his life depended on it.
And just like that, Enzo Amore is your #1 Contender, and will face Neville at No Mercy on September 24.
