New Day could become five time Champions.
In order to find someone to challenge the Smackdown Tag Team Champions the Bludgeon Brothers, General Manager Paige created a four team tournament to find a number one contender. The New Day and the Bar met on Smackdown this week in the finals of that tournament.
Big E and Kofi Kingston of the New Day defeated Sheamus and Cesaro and the following is an excerpt from the Fightful play-by-play provided by Ryan Cook.
The Bar hit a double team move off of the top for a near fall that Kofi breaks up before Cesaro puts E in a brief swing and locks in a sharpshooter. Kofi hits a tornado DDT off of the barricade to Sheamus before Cesaro turns it into a cross face and E powers out of it before Kofi tags himself in. New Day then hit the Midnight Hour for the pin and the win.
Winner: New Day defeat The Bar via pinfall to gain the right to face the Bludgeon Brothers at Summerslam when they pin Cesaro with the Midnight Hour.
