Sonjay Dutt was on commentary during Impact Wrestling.
Last week, Jeremy Borash left Impact Wrestling to join WWE. Borash had been with Impact Wrestling since the first episode. He was not only their lead broadcaster but filled many roles backstage and on screen. He was pivotal in the "Broken Universe" storyline and production.
Borash's old commentary partner Josh Matthews was joined by Sonjay Dutt this week at the commentary booth. Dutt returned to Impact Wrestling in 2017, competed in the X-Division, and became champion. In January, Dutt received surgery for a torn Achilles tendon which he said was the first surgery of his career. Dutt has been part of the creative team since coming back to Impact and has said he wishes to raise Impact Wrestling's profile.
Fightful Wrestling also featured live coverage and discussion for this episode of Impact Wrestling. The following is an excerpt from Fightful's play-by-play live coverage.
Alberto and Moose brawl in the crowd as we come back from commercial, Johnny and EC3 at ringside before Johnny, Alberto and EC3 go out into the crowd and Johnny attacks them with someone's arm braces. Johnny rolls EC3 back into the ring and gets a near fall that Alberto breaks up, then Alberto and EC3 team up on Johnny until Moose comes back in. EC3 hits a One Percenter before Johnny hits a flipping neckbreaker for a near fall, then Alberto sends Johnny off of the top and to the floor before hitting a backstabber to Moose. Alberto then hits a flying armbar that Moose breaks up before Johnny counters a One Percenter into a bridging pin for the win.

The matches were pre-recorded but the commentary personnel change indicates it was recorded later and after Borash left.
