A new TNT Champion has arrived.
In the main event of Saturday Night Dynamite, Brodie Lee defeated Cody to become the new TNT Champion, ending the inaugural champion's reign.
The match was a one-sided affair as Lee dominated Cody throughout the match and won the match in a matter of minutes. Cody was tended to by AEW medical personnel and put on a stretcher. However, The Dark Order attacked the injured Cody as well as Brandi Rhodes and Dustin Rhodes. The show ended with Lee draping Cody with the shredded remains of the old TNT title that got replaced recently.
Cody became the TNT Champion back at Double Or Nothing in May when he defeated Lance Archer in the finals of a tournament to crown the first champion. Since then, Cody defended the title on a regular basis, facing the likes of Sonny Kiss, Eddie Kingston, Ricky Starks, Scorpio Sky and more.
