Nick Aldis Passes 800 Consecutive Days As NWA World Heavyweight Champion

The National Wrestling Alliance has reached 800 consecutive days with “The National Treasure” at the helm.

At NWA 70 on October 21st, 2018 Nick Aldis defeated Cody Rhodes in a 2 out of 3 Falls match to recapture the NWA World Heavyweight Championship that he had lost to Cody Rhodes at the All In event on Labor Day 2018.

Since that time, Nick Aldis has successfully remained champion, turning back such challenges as Tim Storm and Marty Scurll. Currently, the NWA promotion is in the midst of finding its footing following the global pandemic, the exit of Dave Lagana, and several major talents parting ways with the promotion.

Currently keeping the NWA in motion are their partnerships with brands such as the United Wrestling Network and All Elite Wrestling, the promotion that currently employs the NWA Women's Champion, Serena Deeb.

Recently, Nick Aldis has come forward and stated that NWA Powerrr, the promotion's YouTube series with a unique aesthetic, will be returning in the near future. You can read his comments at this link.
