Chris Jericho was able to survive the first labor of MJF by defeating Shawn Spears on Wednesday's AEW Dynamite in a match where Spears could use his chair.
After the bout, MJF announced the second labor for Jericho, introducing the national television audience to GCW World Champion Nick Gage.
Jericho will face Gage in a No DQ match on the July 28 episode of AEW Dynamite.
Gage is a deathmatch legend and famous for carving up opponents with no remorse. Gage came out to the live audience in Texas, threatening Jericho from the ramp.
Later in the night, Chris Jericho announced he would bring back The Painmaker to face Gage.

Jericho must survive the five labors in order to earn a match against MJF.
Gage is set to defend the GCW World Title against Matt Cardona at GCW Homecoming on July 24.
