Nick Gage Says He Did Not Like The Ending To He And David Arquette's Match At 'L.A. Confidential'

Nick Gage comments on that November 16th night.

Kicking off the 2018 Survivor Series weekend in Los Angeles was Joey Janela and Game Changer Wrestling's 'L.A. Confidential' show live on FITE TV from 'The Hi Hat'. The host Joey Janela was not in attendance but he watched from home because he was and still is rehabbing his leg after suffering a gruesome injury two months prior. The match card for 'L.A. Confidential' featured Marko Stunt versus Eli Everfly, Brody King versus Bob Holly and much more but there was one bout that had the wrestling world buzzing for negative reasons and that was the David Arquette versus Nick Gage match.

Arquette and Cage had a Hardcore-rules match for the GCW Heavyweight Championship. Arquette has openly stated that it was naive of him to get into that type of a match blind and not prep himself on what to expect but as the match neared its end, a scary sequence of events occurred when Gage hit Arquette with a light tube and a piece of the light tube cut Arquette's neck and blood immediately began to rush out.

Arquette and Gage did finish the match and Arquette went on to defend the sport of professional wrestling from being attacked by the mainstream media. Nick Gage recently did an interview with Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated and shared that he did not enjoy the ending to he and the former WCW World Heavyweight Champion's match.

?It did get people talking, and that led to more people watching the match, so it goes both ways,? said Gage. ?But as a professional and a performer, I didn?t like the way the ending went down.?

Nick Gage also talked about how serving time in prison will stick with him for the rest of his life and how he has became a better man because of it. For the full interview, click here.
