Nick Wayne speaks highly of Christian Cage.
Nick Wayne aligned with Christian Cage at AEW WrestleDream 2023 and has been paired with him ever since. He has been by Cage's side during his feud with AEW World Champion Swerve Strickland. Cage will challenge Strickland for the gold at AEW Double or Nothing.
Speaking with Rick Uchhino for Cageside Seats, Nick Wayne shared his thoughts on Cage.
“I feel [that he's] very underrated as well. One of the smartest when it comes to promos, to in-ring, to overall presence in how you present yourself in the ring. Not even in the ring, just in a segment. It’s everything. He’s one of the smartest. You think of something, he’ll think of 10 different things. He has one of the minds, truly one of the best minds in professional wrestling,” Wayne said.
Wayne also discussed learning from veterans in AEW, especially Christian Cage and Adam Copeland. He highlighted their knowledge and their experience. Wayne expressed his gratitude as he noted that he was grateful to be able to work with them.
“They have so much knowledge that they’ve learned from the decades that they’ve been wrestling. Just being able to be in there and be in their presence, it’s so crazy to think that I get to be that thankful to do that at such a young age. I’m very blessed and grateful to have that," Wayne said.
