Nigel McGuinness Discusses Changes Working Taped NXT Shows vs. NXT Live On USA Network

With NXT now going live every week on the USA Network, Nigel McGuinness admitted that there are plenty of differences compared to when NXT was taped.

McGuinness spoke with Bill Apter and discussed what it is like to be a broadcaster for live NXT television. McGuinness, who called himself a big fan of the product, said the process of doing two straight live hours of NXT compared to perhaps four hours' of taped shows every few weeks is certainly different.

In addition, McGuinness said there is no room for error when it comes to doing live television, but is excited for the new eyes that will get to see the product for the first time.

"It was a great day. Everybody was excited to get the opportunity to have eyes on the product. I've only been there for the last two or three years. It's been building for the last few years with Triple H starting it and so many people coming in on board and evolving it. I love the team and everyone involved. It was fun, but there were some butterflies as well. It's a bit nerve-wrecking. It's a different process. We used to do four hours taped in a row and now two hours live, there's no room for error," McGuinness said.

The interview between McGuinness and Apter, where McGuinness also talked about the Undisputed Era, can be seen in the video at the top of the page.
