Nikki Cross doesn't want to fuel any rumors, but she would love to be in the ring with Paige at the Royal Rumble.
Only five names have been confirmed for the Women's Royal Rumble with Cross being one of them. Speaking to Alex McCarthy of TalkSPORT, Cross was asked who she would like to share the ring with on Sunday at the Women's Royal Rumble.
"I would love to see Paige (in the Rumble)," she said. "I don't like fueling rumors, but Paige, for us, was the first British woman in a long time to get signed. So when she did that, for us, and knowing her family and their wrestling career, when you see her get signed and come to America, it's absolutely groundbreaking stuff. Stuff you've never seen before. That relationship with the fans, you don't realize how much of an inspiration that was and how much she really paved the way for women like me. I don't like fueling rumors, but that would be my dream match."
Paige retired in 2018 following another neck injury, but has playfully teased being in the Royal Rumble, saying she'll enter number two and eliminate Brock Lesnar. With her teases has come speculation that she may enter the women's royal rumble. Paige recently stated that she will hopefully return one day, but not for a hot minute.
