NJPW World Pro Wrestling Returns To Air On BS Asahi In Primetime Beginning In April

New Japan Pro Wrestling is headed to primetime on BS Asahi with World Pro Wrestling Returns. The show will move to primetime in April 2020 and will air Fridays at 8 p.m. local time. No official start date was given. BS Asahi is the sister station of TV Asahi, a minority owner of NJPW. TV Asahi still airs World Pro Wrestling at 2 a.m. Saturday nights. 

The announcement was made during NJPW The New Beginning in Osaka.

[Dramatic revival from April! ] BS Asahi "World Pro Wrestling Returns" will be broadcast on "Friday 8pm" !!

That BS Asahi "World Pro Wrestling Returns" has revived dramatically!

From April 2020, the broadcast time starts from 8:00 pm on Friday night, with plenty of one-hour broadcasts!

Also announced during NJPW The New Beginning in Osaka was the start date of the G1 Climax 30. The annual tournament is set to begin on September 19 of this year. You can find more details by clicking here. NJPW's return to Madison Square Garden was also announced for August 22.
