The latest entrant in the ladder match to crown a new NXT North American Champion will be decided next week.
NXT announced a triple threat match between Finn Balor, Timothy Thatcher and Dexter Lumis set for July 29 where the winner will advance to the ladder match taking place at NXT TakeOver 30 taking place next month.
Earlier tonight, Bronson Reed defeated Johnny Gargano and Roderick Strong in a triple threat match to qualify for the match.
The title became vacant due to Keith Lee relinquishing it at the start of tonight's NXT. Two weeks after making history as the first dual NXT and North American Champion at the Great American Bash, Lee opened the show by announcing that he is vacating the title in order to focus his efforts on defending the NXT Championship. As a result, NXT General Manager William Regal announced that the new champion will be crowned in a ladder match at NXT TakeOver 30. The participants will be decided with a series of triple threat matches where the winners advance to the ladder match at TakeOver.
